Resolutions
Jan. 17th, 2006 08:56 pmOK, the joystick thing was unrealistic. My joystick is my master, but I'm comfortable with that.
Resolutions:
1 Procrastinate less with those jobs that hold terror for me - I just end up terrified all the time & I still feel crap about them when they're done.
Marge - "Homer, I put the tax forms on your to do pile a month ago!"
Homer - (in horror) "I have a to-do pile?"
2 The opposite: Stop denying myself the things that make me happy - get back to the art, go on holiday, get up some mountains, watch the films I've been saving, go out to the flics, folk club & theatre more and keep playing banjo with my mate John.
3 Make time for that by down sizing my workload on the council before I get burned out & unhappy, mostly by convincing colleagues that we need to buy in more clerical support.
4 Email & see my old mates & family more.
5 Leave myself energy for that by exhausting myself less at work - stop pushing when no-one is stuck - take a moment & survey tactically, use more ready made materials & websites.
Bring it on, 2006.
